Tanya Rosen, J.D.
Tanya is the WCS Yellowstone Rockies Community Liasion, where she works to build and enact an integrated and cohesive wildlife conservation strategy for the High Divide. Tanya began her career as a practicing international lawyer in Italy and the United States. Her interest in large carnivores led her to go back to school and study bears with the USGS Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team and work on human-wildlife conflicts in Yellowstone and Italy, and most recently in Pakistan with Project Snow Leopard. She still works as consultant with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the International Institute for Sustainable Development, following negotiations on trade in endangered species and biodiversity conservation. Tanya holds degrees in law and social ecology from Italy, Harvard and Yale. She is managing editor of the IBA/BSG International Bear News and vice-chair of the IUCN WCPA Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group.
